Trekking race on island Pag dazzled participants
Trekking race "David Bowie Tribute" was held on the island of Pag, on Saturday the 1st of April starting at 11:00h, brought together more than a thousand participants eager for an adventure and challenge. The race, dedicated to the late singer and artist David Bowie, is organized in three different categories, from beginners to experienced trekkers.
The event, which will certainly become a traditional event, provided an unforgettable experience of the island Pag. Predetermined paths stretch on the northern part of the island and are divided into Light, Active and Challanger track. Light track is 7 km long and is suitable for all participants, even the youngest ones. Active track is 13-16 km long and requires a little more willingness, while the Challenger track is 20-25 km long and a challenge for all trekkers due impassable paths and difficult karst terrain. The event was attended by numerous local participants as well as visitors from Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Austria, Germany, France, Slovakia and other countries.
Stone panorama reminiscent of the moon's surface, close to the beautiful blue sea, is a unique experience and one of the ten most attractive trekking destinations in Croatia. This landscape that is one of the checkpoints of the trekking race was also the set of Vogue Latin America fashion editorial photo shoot.
